Adornment is an opportunity to share rarely seen objects from the museum’s collection. In this exhibition, we highlight personal objects and the changing fashion of what we wear and use to accessorise our clothing and our identities. Objects are drawn from our Textiles, Photographic, Taonga Māori and Ethnology collections.
Into Cassino

An unmissible series of multi-panel canvas paintings created to mark the 70th anniversary of the Battles of Cassino, Italy 1944. These abstract landscapes are overlaid with text that speaks in the voices of the soldiers of the many nationalities involved in the dramatic theatre of WWII.
